What Causes Vaginal Bleeding During Intercourse When On Novasure?

I had the NovaSure procedures done 20 months ago and had experienced no periods at all until yesterday when I did have bleeding at the time my period would have been due, but the bleeding only came thru during intercourse, then stopped. Is this normal?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

After 20 months of ablation of endometrium. Bleeding with sex is possible as endometrium can start growing again. Still, it's better to get yourself examined and get endometrial biopsy along with cervical biopsy to confirm its normalcy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
