What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Pregnancy Like Symptoms?

Hi, I have had all of the symptoms possible if pregnancy, however I have no positive result yet. I began bleeding and it lasted 48 hours pretty much exactly. It was thin wth very little clots and it was mostly bright orange. Never has this happened before. I m on vacation and don t want to go to ER unless you suggest it. I will be home tomorrow and can go see my gyno. What could be causing this? Still showing signs of pregnancy especially morning sickness.

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) Early home pregnancy test may NOT be useful in this case. Therefore, I suggest to undergo one blood test for beta-hcg to rule out product of conception or possible miscarriage. TVS scan will give some additional information.

2) Other reasons of irregular vaginal bleeding and morning sickness like features are mental stress or anxiety, hormonal imbalance, pelvic or vaginal infection, over weight, irregular diet pattern, uterine pathology etc.

3) You must consult with your gynecologist for pelvic examination and relevant investigations. Take suggestive measures accordingly.
