What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Itching After Sexual Intercourse?
four days ago I had sex for the first time and it was unprotected sex but he pulled out a little before he done anything. The day after I was spotting blood, clear, and brown fluids until earlier today and now just the brown fluid has stopped and a little of the blood. also my genital area has been itching for almost a hour now, not bad and nothing else like burning. do you think you could help me out by letting me know what all or some of this means? it would help me put a lot! thanks.
Hello, Itching could mean an infection of the vulva, vagina with or without urinary infection. The brown fluid is likely to be the altered blood seeping out. In the current scenario, you need to have a local examination to locate the source of bleeding. Local causes like erosions of the cervix, infections, polyps etc. have to be excluded. Urinalysis is to be done to exclude urinary infection. Swab tests of the cervix and the vagina have to be done. Your partner also may need to be examined and treated simultaneously. Hope this helps.
