What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Clotting After Intercourse?

my bodys been releasing blood on and off had spotting 2 weeks ago for two days then it went away , My boyfriend and i had sex, i bled that saturday and then for a week was heavy blood , almost blots clots , then after that week , there was no blood for two and then two nights ago my boyfriend and i had sex and noticed blood, then there was nothing for two days and blood now, HELP

I would have appreciated had you mentioned your age.

Any vaginal bleeding after the sexual intercourse has to be investigated thoroughly, particularly in elderly women. Most of the time post coital bleeding indicates some lesion on the mouth of the uterus (cervix); most common being cancer of the cervix.

Please report to your Gynaecologist and get internally examined. If there is any lesion like erosion or growth on the cervix, get the biopsy examined by histopathology. The histopathology report will decide the further course of treatment.
