What Causes Vaginal Bleeding And Abdominal Pain During Pregnancy?

I am 16th week pregnant. Last week I had a severe bleeding for 3 days and a pain in lower Abdomen once. I checked with my doctor and she said heart bit of baby is OK. She recommend me to take 2 projestron of 250mg daily along with calcium and iron tablet. Is there any complications in baby?

Dear madam,I understand your concern.in my opinion bleeding in pregnancy may be from placenta or cervical causes or unknown causes.as in your case scan is normal mostly it might be cervical cause or unknown cause.u need not worry .it will subside spontaneously.but meanwhile you take strict bed rest but for washroom ,no mental strain.and follow your gynae and ultrasound at required intervals.everything will be ok just relax as many cases like this continue and will have normal outcome.all the best.
