What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Intercourse?

3 times in a row after intercourse with my husband I go to the bathroom to urinate and when I wipe there s light red blood. But, it s only on the tissue and I do not bleed out. I ve called my gynecologist and he doesn t seem too concerned but I ll still probably see him. About a month ago I did have a vaginal ultrasound that was normal. In the meantime I m going out of my mind with worry. I m a young 28 year old mother to a healthy 19 month old son. Any ideas what could cause this?

Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com!

I really appreciate your concern. From your description, light vaginal bleeding could be due to heavy friction of vaginal wall due to intercourse. So there is nothing to worry about it.
You can prevent friction by using condom or lubrication during intercourse. You should spend more time for foreplay while intercourse to have wetness in vaginal canal.
Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.

Thank you.

Best Regards.
