What Causes Vaginal Bleeding After Having Micronor?

I have been taking micronor for 10 days now and I have been experiencing light head feeling and today started bleeding ALOT and it have a funny smell and dark color to it. I thought birth control was suppose to stop the bleeding until the week your due for your period . is this normal ?

Hi.

Birth control can at times result in bleeding, which is of course a side effect. It should not last long, and if it lasts longer than 5-7 days then report to your prescribing doctor for further information and help.
