What Causes Twitching In My Muscle?

my Vastus Medialis muscle has been doing some twitching over past 3 days. It does it while I am sitting relaxed. The muscle just keeps moving and twitching at sporadic moments. Have I injured it to cause this or is there some other reason why it would just spasmodically twitch

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The occasional twitches in a single muscle can be due to a mild nerve root irritation. These are usually harmless. Taking methylcobalamin supplements can help in reducing it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
