What Causes Twitching In Eyes?

My left eyelid does this flutter from time to to through out the day. I do have general stress disorder. My thyroid is fine. I take valerian root for my stress which helps, but lately my eye has been having a slow twitch. I don't know if its because of my focusing or staring at my cell phone. Why is my eye doing this

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having twitching in the eyes. My answer to your question is as follows.
1. The most common cause for twitching of the eyelids is stress. With control of stress you will be fine.
2. Hence you need to calm yourself and anti-anxiety drugs will be of help in your case.
3. The other treatment options I usually advice along with control of stress is supplementation of multivitamins and antioxidants and avoiding intake of caffeine containing drinks.
4. If inspite of all these factors if your twitching of the eyelids continue then you need to consult neurologist for neurological evaluation.
