What Causes Twitching In Eye?

I have had twitching in my left eye everyday on and off for 3 weeks yesterday it started having a uncomfortable feeling of a dem burning that is still going and the twitching when that started when you pull my eye over to the side you can see its clear mucus looking stuff setting on the side of my eye ball and the tissue is swollen what do you think this is?

It seems from the history that you are having twitching of the eye. This is because of contractions of the extraocular muscles. The common causes are usually stress, increased intake of caffeine containing drinks, allergies of the eye....
Most of them will resolve by themself and no specific treatment is required other than the correction of the underlying cause.
