What Causes Total Body Pain After A Medtronic ICD Implant?

I had a Medtronic ICD implanted on 10-17-11, sine then I have experienced extreme pain in my shoulder, neck, groin area, lower back and at the incicion site all on the left side of my body. None of my doctors can tell me why this is happening and they don't know how to treat me for the pain. I don't believe this is normal, I was not having these problems before the implant. The pain is debilitating and I am scheduled to have the icd removed on 1-10-12 Can you shed some light on this for me.

hello,
I have gone through your query. Thanks for using HCM.first of all you must ascertain the cause of pain before removing ICD.without confirming the cause of pain please don't remove ICD.If it is confirmed that pain is due to local position of implant then it should be repositioned at other site rather then removing it,
You may try different analgesics till then,
My best wishes
