Hi,
I guess your concern is about prolonged bleeding and dischagre after
abortion. The treatment information given by u seems correct. It is usually a standard procedure to give the drugs:
- Mifepristone and
Misoprostol, for abortion after conformation of
pregnancy.
After medicines start their effect of abortion, it is usual protocol to cross check or verify whether all the product of pregnancy have been completely removed from womb of the pregnant lady. This cross checking is done by treating gynecologist. The doctor usually directly inspecting the womb to cross check by himself/herself along with a scan (
ultrasonography) of abdomen and pelvis. Sometimes, the product of pregnancy may come out from the womb bit by bit slowly, slowly.
As told by you, you are having regular menses n no signs of infection (self assessment done by you), we can assume that procedure of abortion with above medicines is successful/ effect.
However, as I told you, in some instances even after successful procedure, a small bit by bit may be remaining in the womb. This remaining bit by bit things usually comes out from the womb in subsequent menses.
My advice:
1. Have patience and nothing to very, wait for few more days till you get menses with blood only (no tissue like discharge as told by you).
2. If there is no improvement after few days, I suggest you to visit a nearby gynecologist to do cross checking as told above.
I hope this information is helpful, informative and useful. Let me know if I can assist you further.
