What Causes Tingling Sensation On Labia Minora During Ovulation Time?
Hello, I am a 37 year old woman also I have NOT had sex since 2008! My youngest daughter is almost seven and when pregnant was my last sexual encounter. For the last 2-3 years I have noticed around my period mostly during ovulation time (after) my LEFT labia majora starts to feel tingling sensation. It has happened on my right as well but 95 percent of the time it s my LEFT. I have always seen my gyno with no problems and have always have clear pap smears. In the beginning I thought it was natural however asking several friends and family no one seems to know what I am talking about... Help!!! Thanks
I think I can give you some explanation for the feelings you are experiencing. During ovulation time, estrogen level in the blood rises. This estrogen can cause tingling sensation in the labia minora.
However, it is difficult to explain why left side feels tingling more than right side! I am guessing that you may have more blood vessels on the left than on the right side!
To conclude, there is nothing to worry about as all your tests are fine. I hope this answer satisfies your curiosity. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
