What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Urethra?

Dear Dr. For the last few days, I started feeling tingling in the top of urethra. and now it s coming more frequently I remove the prostate (Radical prostatectomy) due to prostate cancer on June 4th, 2013. Is there any relation between the tingling and the operation. Please advise.

I understand your concern
Tingling sensation is urethra suggests urethritis or cystitis.
I would suggest to undergo urine routine, microscopic and culture to identify the infections after consulting the urologist.
Doctor will give following advises:
Tablet septran Ds or antibiotic according to culture report.
Tablet nitrozolium and syrup cital
Drink plenty of water and juice of cranberry, orange and pine apple.
Do not delay in empty the bladder and empty the bladder completely.
Avoid alcohol and carbonated drink.
Complete full treatment and repeat the test after complete the treatment to confirm the clearance of infection.
Maintain proper pelvic hygiene.
