HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It would depend on the area of the spine affected. If you have spinal stenosis in the neck region, then there would likely be a link because the nerves to the arms and hand come out in this area.

If the spinal stenosis is in a lower aspect of the back then it is not likely related.

The symptoms are in keeping with neuropathy which is abnormal function of the nerves.
In addition to spinal stenosis there are other causes as well such as: (1) diabetes
(2)low levels of vitamin b12 and folate
(3)thyroid disease
(4)liver or kidney disease
(5)side effect of mediation
(6)carpal tunnel syndrome- should be assessed
(7)abnormal levels of vitamin b6
(8)exposure to toxins
(9)infection such as shingles

An x ray of the neck may be needed and physical examination as well. Treatment would depend on the cause found.

I hope this helps
