What Causes Tingling In The Toes After A Lumbar Puncture?

I am 48 years old, 5'8", and 155 lbs. About a month ago, I had a lumbar puncture and about a week ago I began feeling tingling in the toes of my left foot. Two days ago, upon getting out of bed, I felt the most intense pain that traveled from the lower back to my buttock. I've never experienced back pain before so this took me by surprise. Is there any connection between the lumbar puncture and what appears to be a sciatica issue? Is there anything I can do to get some relief from this? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
