What Causes Throbbing Pain In The Throat?

Hi There, In March I had a throat and ear infection. It cleared before I flew to USA When I came back I had severe trouble and my GP said it was ETD. I ve been taking Nasonex spray for nearly 4 months now, ears are still no better, right ear in particular. I ve had 2 throat infections since March and 2 second throbbing pain on the side of my neck. Should I now be concerned?
