Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.

I can understand your concern. The throbbing pain in head on moving eyes, moving head swiftly and headache in back is due to

: Eye muscle fatigue and tension headache
It is due to continuous work on laptop, mobile or computer. It leads to fatigue and spasm in eye muscles which cause pain on moving eyes. This pain is felt in head. The pain in back of head is tension headache. Tension headache etiology is unclear but it is considered to be due to stress, eye muscle spasm, neck muscle and occipitalis muscle spasm and pain.

You can suspect it if pain occur more while working, more pain in bright light, band like sensation around forehead.

Treatment includes
Consult doctor for visual examination
Take a break from work
Maintain 8 hour sleep routine
Use screen with low light
If you are using glasses, do not do work without wearing them.
For pain, you can take tab Paracetamol or Ibuprofen or Diclofenac after proper prescription.
Head massage

: Another reason could be eye disease like refractive error, astigmatism. To confirm it, you have to consult ophthalmologist.

It can be treated by using
Numbered glasses
Cylinderical lenses for astigmatism

: Less commonly it could be Migraine - It is one sided headache, associated with severe pain, fear from light, vomiting., aura symptoms before pain like bad smell/taste.

If your symptoms are such that then consult neurologist to confirm. Further treatment can be given after confirmation.

Hope it will help you. If still in doubt, ask another question or consult doctor.

Thanks. Take care.
