What Causes Thick Uterine Lining And Heavy Bleeding?

I m age 57, and have had heavy periods in the past. I was on Zoladex and Luperon for 6 doses, starting September 2013. My period has stopped and I ve recently had a hysteroscopy, which was negative for cancer cells. However, my uterus is thick, and my doctor has recommended additional weight loss to reduce estrogen level. The doctor said I m high risk for uterine cancer. A hysterectomy is recommended, if weight loss doesn t decrease estrogen. I ve never given birth, and confused about thick uterine lining.

Hi,

You are having endometrial hyperplasia problem. Kindly upload your reports to check it. If it is complex hyperplasia than the risk of cancer is present.

So reduce weight through active exercise and dieting to reduce estrogen. If no improvement than hysterectomy will be the best option.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
