What Causes The Back Of The Palm To Swell?

Hi I have a wrist drop after a surgery on my upper humerus. Actually the cast (pop) was placed to reach my palm which has been removed. The problem now is that the wrist is not dropping again and I have started moving but my problem now is that the back of my palm has swell up. Please what can I do?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist 's  Response
Hello,

As it's swollen. Do hot water fermentation and use wrist brace of crepe bandage. This will help reduce swelling and also improve the venous return. It's good that the hand movements are back.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
