Last night, my eye started to itch really bad. I itched it and it became more irritated so I left it alone. It hurt really bad to move my eye ball when my eyes were closed so I decided to go to the bathroom mirror to see what was wrong. I then saw my eye red and tearing and the actual eyeball swelling up. I then went to the emergency room (even though since my parents are both unemployed at the moment and I do not have health insurance) In the emergency room, my mom gave me some stuff called silver shield which kills bacteria. So I dropped it in my eye maybe every 20 minutes. After 2 hours it went down. Since I was no longer having a medical emergency we decided to leave so others could go ahead of us and go to a doctor another day. Today it is still red, it feels a little swollen but not as swollen as before and it is a little watery. I am not sure what caused this, maybe someone can point me in the right direction

I am 20 years old, 5'1, I weigh about 145. I have have never had any serious medical problems. Last time I was in a hospital was when I was 8 for an accident that cut my leg.
