What Causes Swollen Scrotum And Pain In The Testicles?

Hello, I was wondering if you could answer my question, about a year ago i had chlamydia. I got treatment for it , throughout the pass year i have been having the same issue with symptoms and went to tht eodctor a few times to get it checked to see if it came back, results came back negative, over the pass month i have been having the symptoms of hydrocele, with a swelling from the scrotum. I tried going to the emergency, but i ended up leaving because i was waiting over 7hr to see a doctor , Also having pain as such as shooting pain in my testicles and some what hard to touch when trying to give myself a self exam from bumps/lumps, it is now back to normal with the left testicle hanging lower than my right. Can you tell me what this might possibly be, and is it possible that it went away on its own. I also was on medication that a doctor from the walk in clinic put me on ( Ciprofloacin ) 500mg, and i stopped taking it after a week because i felt like it was doing more harm than good.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult a general surgeon and plan for a Doppler scan. We have to rule out possibilities like torsion or epididymitis.

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like aceclofenac/serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
