What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In Neck And Tender Chest?

I am 26, 5'1", 120 pounds. For the past week my lymph node on the left side of my neck has been swollen and tender. Starting on about Tuesday, my chest has been swollen and tender as well. I did read that we have lymph nodes in our chest/armpit area. Should I see a doctor? A few years ago the lymph nodes in my neck were swollen off and on - I went to the doctor to get a test done. By the time I got there, the swelling had gone down and the doctor said I didn't need tests done, that it was just my body fighting a virus. However this happened multiple times for a period of about 2 years.

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

According to history you have repeated infection and swollen lymph node in neck..

Do you smoke?? Cough ???
Fever??? Weight loss??? Lymph node consistency???

Here from your swollen lymph node I would suggest to take FNAC or biopsy as you have repeated enlargement....

If above symptoms present then tubtuberculosis or any malignancy will be ruled out by these investigation...

Meanwhile avoid smoking if habit
Fruits more....
Antibiotic can be given for few days.

Keeping this in mind consult physician.

Take care.
