What Causes Swollen Lymph Node On Throat?

I recently noticed a swollen lymph node on the left side of my throat, and a follow-up with my PCP revealed a skin-like growth in my right ear canal. I ve had no pain except that my right ear had a wax build-up. I am 52 years old and am 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weigh 160 pounds. I do not smoke or drink but have been under tremendous stress due to a recent divorce, diverticulitis attacks, back problems, and recently chronic acid reflux problems. Thanks for assistance. Jim

Hello,

As per your history, it may be due to throat infection.

For that you may require antibiotics tablet Azithromycin after physician consultation.

Do steam inhalation and Betadine gargle twice a day.

For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

Take hygienic food and water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
