What Causes Swollen Left Armpit In Nursing Mothers?

This has happened once before but went away. Under my left armpit looks swollen. It doesn't hurt. I could squeeze it when breastfeeding and obviously milk was coming out. No concern because it went away after I was done breastfeeding. My newest was born April 2016 and my armpit is still swollen. If I squeeze it clearing liquid comes out of pores along with a black liquid substance. Should I be worried?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There is filling up of milk glands and tail goes up to the armpit. Hence there is swelling near the armpit.

This is not abnormal, and there is nothing to worry.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Soumya

In your case, black liquid is not healthy because it could be early signs of cancer. You need to get examined by a surgeon.
