What Causes Swollen Bruise On The Arm Post Being Bitten By A Macaw?

Hi, my Macaw parrot bit me on my arm. Not hard but did puncture my skin very slightly. Within two hours, N egg size lump formed which was painful but if I touched it, there was no feeling until after I removed my finger from the lump, then, the area would throb with pAin. Next day, lump went down but spread out with what looks like a huge bruise surrounding the remaining lump which was vary light in color. Today, (3 days later),I have a large bruise surrounding a still swollen area where the puncture wound is and which still is swollen. There are pail blotch lumps within the still spreading bruise. Can you tell me what this might be caused by? Thank you, Linda

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear Greetings
Regarding your symptoms of swollen wound surrounded by area of bruise after bitten by parrot I am suggesting that you have developed a cellulitis caused by infection from the mouth of the parrot
In view of this please see a physician specialist for further clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription
I hope this helps
