Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a horrible pain in my left ear, and my left tonsil is swollen. The pain has now moved to the back of my tongue and is starting to affect my right ear and right tonsil. My question is whether this sounds like a sinus infection or something more serious.
This is due to the inflammation of the tonsils on the affected side. Inflammation of the tonsils may be due to bacteria, so get examined by a doctor for a course of suitable antibiotics and drugs to reduce the pain and swelling due to inflammation. Besides, do frequently warm saline water gargle for the soothening effects. Take care Reply with thanks
