What Causes Swelling In The Uvula And Sore Throat For About A Week?
I ve been having a soar throat for about a week now... I guess it started with a cold that lasted a day and now I m just stuffy with the soar throat... It looks a little swollen but as I looked back I saw a large lump right behind my uvula... Should I be worried? I can t really feel it and it doesn t look red...
Regarding your query for a sore throat, swollen uvula and a lump behind the uvula which is not red coloured. You are having stuffy nose. Your all symptoms are in favour of Sinusitis with anterochonal polyp with pharyngitis.
The mass behind the uvula may be-
1- Anterochoanal polyp.
2- Enlarged adenoid.
Both above possibilities may be differentiated by clinical examination and by doing C.T.Scan of paranasal sinuses.
For treatment point of view you have to consult your ENT doctor.
Regards.
