What Causes Swelling In Feet While On Radiation Treatment For Breast Cancer?

I am a 56 year old female. I am 5 5 and weigh 330 lbs. In the past 5 months I have gained about 25 lbs. for not apparent reason. I have not had any significant changes in my lifestyle. I was diagnosed with breast cancer 5 months ago. I had a 4cm tumor which was slow growing. I had surgery in May and now going through radiation treatments. My issue is that I have been experiencing swelling in my left foot for several months and my foot is also getting progressively worst and my skin is feeling taunt and there is pain when I try to flex my toes. The past month my right foot is also swelling. Is this something serious and should I be concerned? What action should I take to ensure it is not something serious? Marianne
