What Causes Swelling In Calf While On Braces For Torn ACL?
I tore my ACL 3 days ago. Met with an orthopedic Dr. He drained my knee and put me in a brace while waiting for surgery. After a full day of work (nothing strenuous, just walking) I took the brace off and noticed the inside of my calf was now swollen. Feels like fluid. Should I be concerned? Is my brace too tight? Please advise. Thanks

Yes, it could quite probably be the brace being too tight. Please speak to your doctor about the same, and also ask him/her whether or not the brace is to be worn at night or it can be substituted with an elastic bandage of sorts. But either way, nothing to worry about in my opinion.
