How Can Torn Muscles In The Knees Be Treated?

I have a torn ACL in my left knee. I am a CNA with a very Physical job. Ive gone the whole summer with an undiagnosed torn acl, my doctor says there are consequences to not getting the surgery done asap. I may need to put it off for three months for financial reasons. What are the consequences.

use kneecap avoid weight bearing exercises in knee consult orthopaedic surgeon for clinical examination and advise on treatment surgery may be avoided since it may lead to more complication..
