General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you!

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns.

When tissues swell up they cause pressure on nerve endings in the peripheral parts of the tissue. This is natural course of the disease. She is feeling numbness and tingling also due to the fact of stasis of blood due to swelling. Swelling compresses and compromises the venous return from the injured are.

They must have given proper medicines and it will help in relieving this swelling and all will go back to normal once tissue inflammation is gone. If there is no bone injury as you described, it will take a couple of weeks to recover completely.

When she is lying in bed, keep pillow under her foot and leg to help drain the pooled blood from the foot. It will in her fast recovery. Give her plenty of fluids and proper rest is the key to her early recovery.

Hope I answered all of your questions. Have a wonderful time ahead. Keep in touch for a follow-up too.

Regards!
