What Causes Swelling Behind The Ear After Swimming?
My 4 yo son has been swimming for the last week on vacation. He strted complaining of ear pain but only when touched two days ago. There is no fever. But I found redness behind the ear, on the edge between ear and scull. There is a pea size soft swelling behind the ear too. Last night he was crying on and off and can not sleep on that ear. He is fine otherwise. Having gun now. But when I try to touch the outer ear, he cries with tears! I am on vacation in Florida but we live in Chicago. Do you think it is a swimmers ear or infection of the bone?What do I do?

its sounds like swimmer ear to me , you need proper antibiotic and pain killer , along with ear packing with antibiotic and steroid , before infection spread furture kindly consult a ENT Doctor, this condition is extremely painful, have a nice trip
