Hi,
Sudden weight gain during pregnancy can happen when there is water retention. Also, the weight gain is more than expected in multiple gestation, molar pregnancy and PIH or pregnancy induced hypertension and in gestational diabetes. If you do not suffer from any morning sickness, then naturally, the increased appetite during pregnancy can lead to excess weight gain. Please get a regular follow up, regular ultrasonograms and adequate rest. Hope this helps.
