What Causes Sudden Sharp Chest Pain After Drinking Rum?
Hello, I was in the Bahamas with my family and decided to have a mixed drink that had RUM in it. After finishing the drink I got pains in the middle of my chest that where so painful I thought this is what a heart attack must feel like the PAIN had me in tears holding on to my husband within 5 to 10 min I was ok . I decided to have another drink the same kind of drink RUM NOT THINKING THIS PAIN had anything to do with what i had to drink. Same feeling reacured in my chest . Could this be from Rum ? I drink wine and Never had this happen to me .

I think this pain is related to stomach issues possibly gastritis or ulcers. Alcohol and acidic juices can make it worse. You may need to avoid taking alcohol. Using antiacids can be helpful to reduce acidity and pain.
