What Causes Sudden Increase In Heart Rate While On Medication For Hypertension?
I woke up feeling my heart was gonna jump out of my skin. I have hypertension and my bp readings was fine but the heart rate was high. Why was my heart rate that high when I woke up at 4am? I take beta blocker and diuretics for hypertension and yesterday was my first walk exercise 1 1/2 miles

You may repeat ECG and if needed echo can lead to diagnosis. Visit a cardiologist or medicine nearby. Yes, beta blockers are helpful under guidance. It might be even as simple as a night terror or a dream.
