What Causes Sudden Cloudy And Blurred Vision Along With Difficulty In Reading?

I was reading my computer screen when all of a sudden everything went out of focus and an intense whiteness came in and blurred my vision so I could barely see. I thought i was having a stroke but have had no other symptoms. Since then I m having extreme difficulty reading my computer screen due to a whiteout that seems to occur when i m looking directly at the screen. I have to tilt my head to read the screen. It appears to be more in my left eye than my right eye and when I m looking straight ahead there seems to be a shimmering haze int the top left of my left eye. I am a 52 year old male. YYYY@YYYY
