What Causes Strong Vaginal Odor While On Birth Control Pills?

I have noticed a change in vaginal discharge after beginning birth control. I know Orsythia brand makes mucus thicker, and there is a garlic smell. However, I avoid garlic and onions like it s the plague, so I don t understand why the scent has developed.

Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

First of all do not panic.

As such, oral contraceptive pills, make the cervical mucus thick, but there should be no effect on the vaginal odour.

I will suggest you to use Lactic acid containing vaginal wash during bath time.
Use of vaginal pessaries containing Clindamycin and Clotrimazole once at night for 7 days is advisable.

Also, please use Probiotics like Vibact DS once at night for 10 days every month. This helps to restore normal vaginal bacterial flora. This will help to prevent unwanted infections.

I hope this answer helps you.
Thanks.
