What Causes Stomach Problem, Esophageal Irritation And Ulcerative Sores?

We are looking for a dr. In Kentucky that specific works with hiccups. My husband has had them for over 21 months now. He s seen his neurologist. He has epilepsy and has a VNS its not causing them. He s been to gastrointestinal dr also. Because he s been having alot of stomach issues. He s had level d esophageal irritation. Helical hernia, the opening to his stomach closed up. Plus hours and days of throwing up. Ulcerative sores plus to much acid built up in his digestive track.. we really in need of a doctor. He just spent 10days in hospital trying to get some of them under control.

Hi,

Noted the history about your husband having hiccups over 21 months, consultation with Neurologist and Gastroeneterologist, esophageal irritation, Helical Hernia and so on.
Since your husband has already seen by both the Specialists, he must have been under a proper treatment.
Continue the medications as advised.
Hiccups can be due to irritation of the Phrenic Nerve from brain part to the neck, chest and the diaphragm. It should be studied well to know if thre is any irritation and be treated if the cause is found. Needs CT scan of neck and chest to if thre is any mass pressing over the Phrnic Nerve.
Stress and naxiety ae one of the most important causes and should be controlled well, if required by medications.
PPI like Pantoprazole, motility regulator like Domperidone can help a lot with esophageal problems.
My need surgery for Helical Hernia.
