Hi,

Sometimes due to hormonal imbalance this could happen. Your tissue in the uterus over grows without starting bleeding. Progesterone withdrawal causes bleeding. Due to unopposed estrogen endometrium over grows and it starts to come out as spotting followed by bleeding. Wait for your regular periods to start. If the subsequent months also has the same issue then consult a gynecologist to find out the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
