What Causes Spotting Post Plan B Pill Intake?

Before I took plan b I was on my period and it ended. I had unprotected sex about a week later and took the pill. A week after that I started my period again.. is this normal? I ve also had extreme back pain, lower abdominal pain, and rectum pain. It feels like knives digging into me. Is this a symptom of the pill? Or something else I should be worried about?
