What Causes Spotting And Clots Of Grayish Tissue Like Chucks?

My period was late this month and when it finally came on everything seemed fine. It stayed for like 4 days. This was last week. Every since then I ve been experiencing spotting, I few blots clots after I use the restroom and what seems to be white grayish tissue like chucks when I wipe. Any idea what this could be? Should I see a doctor?

Hallow Dear,

It seems you have caught fungal infection in your vagina. The description of the discharge is typical of it. Such fungal infections though are commonly sexually transmitted, can be caught from commode also. Hence the treatment should be taken by both the sexual partners irrespective of symptoms to male.

Some local antifungal medicine with Lactobacilli vaginal ovules or perineal wash will help the speedy recovery and will avoid recurrences.

Please observe the following tips in addition to the medicinal treatment:

1. These tips should be followed by both the sexual partners simultaneously.

2. Observe complete sexual abstinence till both of you are declared cured completely.

3. Shave the private parts clean to avoid reinfection.

4. Boil the underwear daily.

5. (for you) Use panty liners.

6. Clip the nails flush to the skin and avoid scratching.

7. Maintain the commode cleanliness by disinfectants.

Please report to your Gynaecologist.

I hope this would help you in this condition.
