Hi,
The best thing to do in the current scenario would be to go to a gynecologist for a clinical evaluation and get investigated further to exclude/confirm pregnancy if you are sexually active and also get tests done to check for any possible hormonal imbalances. Local lesions can be excluded through a clinical exam. Since the spotting is related to the time of menstruation, it is more likely that there is an imbalance of the hormones. Please maintain a healthy weight, healthy diet and regular exercise. Hope this helps.
