What Causes Spotting After Taking Necon Birth Control Pills?

I m on the necon 1/35 birth control pills. Last week was the week I was suppose to be having my period. Instead, I had spotting. I have also been having unprotected sex for the past two months but I never missed a pill, only late a couple of times. I started taking necon about a month ago as well.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

All birth control come with some undesired side effects, and one of them is irregularities in your menstrual cycle or even inter-menstrual bleeding that can mimic a menstrual period, so I would not consider this too serious. But if at all there are continued irregularities and your cycle does not return to normal within 2 months time, then you should report to your doctor.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
