What Causes Soreness In Groin Area?

Hi, about 2 and a half weeks ago I was given Imiquimod for molluscum in my groin. My doctor did not tell me anything about the prescription and therefore rather than using it sparingly, I used it very liberally. As a result, I have been experiencing extreme ulcerations on my groin area and one the size of a dime on my labia. Now, I am experiencing a swollen and tender lymph node in my groin to the right of my pelvic bone near the dime size ulcer. Is this ulceration caused by the imiquimod cream or do I have

Hello,
Thanks for letting us know your health concern. The application must be done only on the affected area, until it is totally absorbed, left over for 6-8 hours and washed later with mild soap and water. It should not be used intra vaginally. Since you have developed ulcers, you need clinical evaluation and get further management. Cotton gauze is placed over the wound for milder reactions.
