What Causes Soreness And Scratchiness In The Throat?
Hi I have been suffering from a strange feeling in my tongue especially at the back and I feel that the left side of my throat is sore and scratchy. My doctor is treating for acid reflux but recently my dentist said i have a blocked saliva gland on the roof of my mouth and I am seein the oral surgeon soon. Could this be the cause of my throat and tongue feelings. The systems sound trivial but they are ruining my life as I am up in the night drinking water and can t concentrate to socialise at all. I have visited the Ent department who said my throat and mouth were clear and I should stop worrying but I know it is not cased by worry. He advised me to have gaviscon and increase my acid reflux medicine.
I have read your quey and understand your concern . As far as soreness and scratchiness is concerned this can be due to tonsilitis , strep throat , pharyngitis or upper respiratory infection . For this I will suggest you to consult ENT surgeon for clinical examination and evaluation . Inmeantime do warm saline gargle 2 to 3 times a day . You can take medicine like Azithromycine or cefixime by consulting with local doctor .
Hope this will help you .
