What Causes Soreness And Pain In Belly After Medical Abortion?

Hi, I had my medical abortion 16days agos andand I was told there is a tiny fibroid. I have been feeling some soreness in my belly and general weakness in my belly as well. Back pains and side pains. I feel much better and it gets worse. I use to hold my belly before I could walk but now do feel pains. Please, what could that be? I felt a big lump discharge 4-6 houra after I took the second pill.

Hi, Dr Purushottam Neurgaonkar here. I have gone through your question, and I think I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic .

2 ) Your pain in abdomen can be due to some kind of infection in the digestive system, second possibility is of infection after medical abortion process.

3 ) If the abortion procedure was covered with antibiotics , then your symptoms can be due to intestinal infection. I will suggest you to take combination tablets of Ofloxacin and Ornidazole 2 times a day for 5 days.

If pain doesn't subside , please consult your physician. USG abdomen and pelvis will be of help.
