What Causes Sore Tongue While Having High Cholesterol, Hypothyroid And Anemia?

I have raised cholesterol levels, hypothyroid, pernicious anemia and chronic kidney disease . i have had a sore mouth, throat and neck for a year. My tongue is permanently sore. is it connected to one of my conditions? I am permanently tired and out of breath with the slightest exertion ie walking up stairs i have to rest half way up. I take 50 mg levothyroxine per day and have B12 injectons every 3 months but I am swollen in my face, hands, legs and stomach and have put on a stone in weight. My urine output has fallen drastically.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The tongue soreness can be related to anemia.
It can also be related to vitamin B12 deficiency.
I suggest to drink liquids and stay hydrated.
I also recommend to continue the vitamin B12 shots as prescribed by your doctor.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
