Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are suggestive of a viral infection. Anyway, considering your past medical history, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:
- A throat discharge bacterial culture
- A chest X-ray study
- Complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation or infection

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
