What Causes Sore Breasts And Abnormally Decreased Menstruation?

I had a period very light AND FOR ONLY 3 DAYS WHEN I NORMALLY HAVE IT FOR 5-6 DAYS. my BREASTS ARE VERY SORE. I TOOK A PREGNACY TEST BUT IT WAS NEGATIVE. I THINK I TOOK THE TEST TOO SOON BECAUSE MY PERIOD IS DUE ON THE 24TH OF DECEMBER AND I TOOK THE TEST ON THE 8TH. what COULD POSSIBLY BE MY PROBLEM

Hi,
UTP test is reliably +ve after 8-10 delay in periods.
Your period is due on 24th of December, that means
- you had scanty bleeding in last menses( November)- If such is the case, & you have a regular menstrual cycle,the UPT test should have been +ve on December 8th .
You can try test once more now, & if that too is -ve, you should consult a gynecologist for treatment of irregular menses.
- In case your November was normal & was followed by scanty mid cycle bleeding- it can be an ovulation bleeding. You can expect a normal period on it's scheduled time.
If the period is delayed this time, & you had unprotected sex this month at ovulation time- you may be pregnant- confirmed by UPT after 8-10 days delay in periods.
- if this time too the period is scanty -it's likely to be some hormonal imbalance which also has breast symptoms / other causes like menopause, fibroid--needs a gynacologist's consultation.
